Seven Stars Martial Arts ~ Certified T'ai Chi for Health Instructor
Seven Stars Martial Arts ~ Certified T'ai Chi Qigong Shibashi Instructor
Anna began taking T'ai Chi Ch'uan classes with Dan Robertson in 1999, learning Yang’s Long Form which consists of 134 postures.
After almost eight years she stopped attending classes and turned her attention to something new, ballroom dancing, which became a real passion.
T'ai Chi kept calling her back and after retiring in 2013 from a 40-year career as an analytical chemist she had time for both dancing and T'ai Chi. Anna continues to compete in ballroom dancing and perform with her teacher at showcases and at the dance studio where she takes lessons.
Anna has discovered that ballroom dancing and T'ai Chi have a lot in common especially in regards to shifting weight and maintaining balance when moving through a dance pattern or T'ai Chi posture.
Anna finds T'ai Chi a source of mental relaxation and enjoys the physical exercise, particularly the stretching aspects and the effort and improvement in balance.
Anna continues to learn the 24 Form and teaches some T'ai Chi classes. She gets a real sense of satisfaction on hearing comments from students on how T'ai Chi class has helped them.
